As Outreach Coordinator this team member will lead state-wide education, communication and outreach efforts for the Dominion Green Powerฎ program. Dominion Green Power is a voluntary program that provides Dominion Virginia Power customers the opportunity to support the development of new renewable energy through the purchase of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs).
The Outreach Coordinator will build a strong outreach team and work collaboratively to educate and enroll customers in Dominion Green Power, through outreach at community events, festivals, farmers markets, and community gathering locations.
3Degrees is looking for a team player who is reliable and has proven experience in building and managing teams. The ideal candidate will be a stellar communicator, committed to environmental causes and renewable energy, an excellent team leader, and comfortable with engaging the general public, business owners and local governments to discuss, promote and grow the Dominion Green Power program.
|Duties:|| Acquire and maintain a deep familiarity and knowledge of the Dominion Green Power Program|
Acquire and maintain familiarity with and knowledge of the people, culture, events, and social/political pulse of Dominion Virginia Powers service territory
Participation in 3Degrees Virginia operations including being available for team meetings, training, and program development sessions
Coordinate and attend community outreach efforts including but not limited to community events, festivals, farmers markets, and community gathering locations. Responsibilities may include coordination of Courtesy Knock (door-to-door) campaigns throughout Virginia.
Hire, train, and manage a team of 5-7 full and part-time staff
Attend networking events and formally present Dominion Green Power Program information to community groups
Manage and work within annual outreach budget established in coordination with manager
Closely track and analyze the success of outreach efforts in order to meet or exceed established outreach enrollment goals
Establish relationships with area stores, non-profits, and businesses to support outreach efforts
Perform necessary office management and administrative tasks for outreach
|Qualifications:|| Experience in outreach, sales, community organizing or other related field|
Experience in hiring, training, and leading a team
Ability to establish positive long-term relationships with customers
Outgoing personality with willingness to initiate customer interaction
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Fluency in Google Apps and Microsoft Office
Knowledge of the Northern and Central Virginia areas
Ability to work independently
Dedication to sustainability and renewable energy
Ability to work evenings and weekends
